Fill Your Home With Flowers in Honor of National Garden Month

garden monthThe arrival of Daylight Savings Time means that daylight lasts longer. It’s one of the important signs that winter is fading. New Englanders realize that you can’t predict the weather patterns. A late Spring Nor’easter can squash your hopes of enjoying the spring bulbs you planted in your front or back yard last fall. The City Line Florist team is too cautious to take anything for granted. We’re anxious to help you bring the warmth and beauty of spring, into your home.

National Lawn and Garden Month is an unofficial national monthly observance. In 2015, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack issued a proclamation in which he declared that April would be recognized as the official National Garden Month. We want to encourage our customers to use these April celebrations as an opportunity to bring the beauty of nature, and more importantly, spring flowers, into their homes, businesses or offices.

Spring will fill the air when you bring a vase of Spring Tulips inside. Choose between a 10, 15, or 20 tulip arrangement in your choice of pink, purple, yellow or assorted tulip colors. Tulips are among the first bulbs to emerge in spring. They are ideal as cut flowers. When you fill a room with one or more vases filled with tulips, you’ll lift the spirits of everyone around.

You won’t care about the outdoor weather when you walk into a room and lay your eyes on our Hyacinth Vase. We don’t know why anyone would want to overlook hyacinths in a search for spring flowers to bring inside. Each short hyacinth stem is packed with tiny flower blossoms. Our short cylinder vase overflows with light and dark pink, white, blue and purple flowers. This compact design would make a perfect coffee table centerpiece, or accent on an end table. A row of these would look fantastic as a centerpiece on a dining room table.

Spring flowering bulbs come together in our Morning Sun Arrangement. A rainy day will feel a lot less dreary when you bring this combination of the best of Spring into any room. Yellow tulips and daffodils warm up the atmosphere as they tower above clouds of white hydrangeas. Purple hyacinths complete this nod to spring flowering bulbs, adding a dramatic touch of color.

You don’t have to wait for any flowers bloom during April. When you force bulbs to grow indoors, you can force them to bloom again year after year.
